Cost-effective mobile RASP
solutions in 2026
From free libraries to flat-price platforms: which mobile RASP gives you the protection you need for the lowest total cost, for Android and iOS.
Cost-effective mobile RASP options in 2026
A cost-effective RASP is not always the cheapest licence. It is the one that gives the protection you need for the lowest total cost, including integration, operations and the other tools you would otherwise buy. Here are the main options, from free to flat-price to enterprise.

| Option | What you get and when it is cost-effective |
|---|---|
| Talsec | Talsec offers a freemium in-app protection SDK with a free tier under a fair usage policy. It detects rooted and jailbroken devices, hooking tools such as Frida, tampering and repackaging, unofficial installs, screen capture, GPS spoofing and risky networks, on Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, Capacitor, Cordova and Kotlin Multiplatform. Cheapest way to start; identity, risk scoring and evidence are not part of the library, so you assemble them yourself. |
| NonaShield | Flat $599 a month (about ₹6 lakh a year) with mobile RASP, device fingerprinting, hardware-bound identity and signed evidence included, for Android, iOS and React Native. Lowest total cost when you need more than runtime checks. |
| Approov | App and API attestation: it confirms that only genuine copies of your app call your APIs, delivers secrets just in time to attested apps, and supports certificate pinning with dynamic updates. Supports Android, iOS and HarmonyOS Next, and offers a free trial and app assessment. Cost-effective when API abuse is the main risk; pricing is not published on its homepage. |
| Protectt.ai | Enterprise mobile runtime protection with environment checks and automated enforcement, widely used in India for RBI-regulated apps. |
| Zimperium, Guardsquare, Appdome, DoveRunner, Promon | Established vendors with broader hardening and threat-defense suites. Priced by quote, so compare total cost for the coverage you need. |
When free RASP is enough, and when it is not
A free or open-source library is a good start for a small app or a prototype. It detects rooted and jailbroken devices, tampering and hooking on the device, and it is free under a fair usage policy.
It is an on-device SDK, so it does not by itself give you a risk decision, a dashboard, device identity across accounts, hardware-bound proof of the enrolled device, or signed evidence for a dispute or regulator. A regulated payment or lending app usually needs those, and building them costs engineering time that the licence saving does not cover.
| Need | Free RASP library | Flat-price platform (NonaShield) |
|---|---|---|
| Root, jailbreak, tamper, debug detection | Yes | Yes |
| Device fingerprinting across accounts | Not in the library | Included |
| Hardware-backed device key | Not in the library | Included |
| Risk scoring and decision | Not in the library | Included |
| Dashboard and AI investigation | Not in the library | Included |
| Signed evidence for audits and disputes | Not in the library | Included |
Key capabilities of a budget RASP
- Light on the device: minimal effect on launch time, battery and latency.
- Your frameworks: native Android and iOS, and React Native or other cross-platform SDKs if you use them.
- Fast integration: a few calls to initialise and enrol, not a rebuild of your login flow. See the integration guide.
- Predictable price: a flat, published price beats usage surprises. See NonaShield RASP pricing.
- Compliance mapping: RBI, NPCI, SEBI and DPDP where they apply. See the compliance page.
- Total cost: add every product needed for the same coverage, plus the staff time to run them.
NonaShield cost in rupees and what it replaces
At $599 a month, NonaShield is about ₹6 lakh a year. It replaces separate spend on runtime protection, a device-fingerprinting vendor, a fraud-scoring tool and evidence tooling. For a regulated app, compare that with the sum of those products plus integration time, not with a single library.

Frequently asked questions
What is the most cost-effective mobile RASP solution?
It depends on need. For basic runtime checks, a free or open-source library is the cheapest start. For a regulated app that also needs device identity, risk scoring and evidence, a flat-price platform such as NonaShield at $599 a month can cost less in total than assembling separate tools.
Is there a free mobile RASP?
Yes. Some vendors, such as Talsec, offer a free tier under a fair usage policy, and open-source libraries exist. Free options cover on-device checks; risk decisions, dashboards and evidence need to be built or bought separately.
How much does mobile RASP cost in India?
NonaShield is a flat $599 a month, about ₹6 lakh a year, with RASP, fingerprinting, identity and evidence included. Most other vendors price by quote, so ask for a like-for-like total.
Does NonaShield support React Native?
Yes. NonaShield supports Android, iOS and React Native from one SDK.
